Description

Jumbo Parisi Grapes

The name Sultanina Grapes, also known as Raisins, originates from the term “sultan.” A legend passed down in the Middle East has it that dried grapes were accidentally created when a sultan, who was forced to abandon the grapes he was eating in the sun to escape a tiger, noticed upon his return that they had darkened and had improved in flavor, since then the dried grapes were called “sultana.”

When dried, raisins take on amber hues and the pulp retains a firm texture. This small ellipsoidal berry, yellow or golden in color, possesses crisp flesh. In its natural state, it has a sweet and delicate flavor, while the thin skin, which is not very pruinose and easy to chew, characterizes it.

Because it is seedless, seedless in English, it is used both fresh and for baking.

Benefits and Properties

Sultanina Grapes are rich in minerals such as potassium, iron and calcium.
