Description
Parisi’s Macadamia Walnuts, treasures of minerals and vitamins
Native to Macadamia trees, usually thriving in tropical climates with volcanic soils such as Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Kenya, New Zealand and South Africa. The first Macadamia trees were planted in the lands of Hawaii in 1900, giving the world the renowned delicacy of Hawaiian Macadamia nuts.
These fruits, gatekeepers of metabolism and antagonists of free radicals, are notable for being among the rare food sources to harbor palmitoleic acid, a type of monounsaturated fatty acid that can accelerate lipid metabolism, thus hindering the body’s ability to store fat.
Macadamia nuts, the jewels among oilseeds, boast the highest content of monounsaturated fatty acids (a treasure for our well-being), at 70 percent.
They are extremely nutritious fruits, rich in minerals (especially calcium and phosphorus) and vitamins A, B1 and B2. Macadamia nuts are enriched with flavonoids (valuable natural antioxidants) and generous amounts of palmitoleic acid.
Properties and benefits
They fight disease. Macadamias contain flavonoids that protect cells from environmental toxins, thus preventing cellular damage. Once absorbed, these extraordinary flavonoids transform into antioxidants, supreme defenders against free radicals in the human body. Thus, they protect the body from insidious diseases.
Heart benefits. Macadamia nuts are rich in healthy fats that preserve artery health. Due to monounsaturated fatty acids, they help reduce cholesterol and lower triglycerides, thus reducing the risk of coronary heart disease.
They aid in weight loss. Their lipid content can effectively curb appetite, and in addition, the palmitoleic acid present stimulates fat metabolism, limiting the accumulation of fat. Macadamia nuts, with their nutritional and lipid balance, satiate with few units. In addition, the dietary fiber they contain promotes satiety, regulating sugar levels and resolving hunger pangs.
They fortify the bones. Rich in phosphorus, manganese and magnesium, Macadamia nuts contribute to the mineralization of bones and teeth, as well as to the transport and absorption of nutrients.
Conservation
Store in cool, dry places, away from sources of heat and moisture.
